Two sets of new training classes start on Monday, June 3rd at the Preble County Fairgrounds, 722 S. Franklin St. Eaton, Ohio!
A Beginning Obedience/Puppy Manners class starts at 7 p.m. in the Sheep Pavilion. Taught by Lori Genaw, the class focuses on teaching your dog the basics– walking nicely on a leash, sit, stand, lie down and come . . . all essentials for happier living with your dog!
Cost is $50 for 6 weeks of classes, payable at the first class. If your dog came from the Humane Society of Preble County, you can take the classes for just $25 for the series! Children 12 and up are welcome, but need to be accompanied by a parent.
Additionally, a new series of drop-in conformation classes will start on Monday at 7:15. Classes are for beginners (handlers and/or dogs) or just those wanting a little “tune-up” before the summer show season. Classes last an hour, and will cover ring procedure, equipment, hand-stacking, free-stacking, judge’s examination and gaiting patterns. Free to members, or $5 per class for guests.
