April 5th (Puppy Match) April 6th and 7th All-Breed, Best Puppy and NOHS.

Last year’s show had to be canceled due to the county shutting down the campgrounds at the venue. (Due to Monster Truck Campers pouring raw sewage directly on the ground. I understand being annoyed about there not being dump stations, but that was ridiculous.) So we waited to see what was going to happen this year and for a long time, nothing happened. At the end of December we got word that the county has approved the use of the cleaned and improved campgrounds– every site now has direct access to sewer as well as electric and water, plus a brand new bathhouse.

So we have put together the world’s fastest Premium List, with a huge shout out to Mary Rowe at MB-F for making it possible.

We will have our Puppy Match on Friday evening followed by two all-breed shows with NOHS and also Puppy Shows both days.

There is a wrinkle. (Isn’t there always) Dayton is in the path of the Solar Eclipse on Monday. While we are having fun with that from themed trophies, free eclipse glasses etc. it also means that we had to spend $9000 on hotel rooms for judges. There are still some reasonable rooms left in dog-friendly hotels, but they will not last. Red Roof is also, let’s just say, having some issues . . . Air BnB is generally plentiful and pet-friendly in the area. If you are not planning to stay over on Sunday night, it shouldn’t be too terrible, but please, make your reservations ASAP.
